COVID-19 Statement

We are concerned about transmission of COVID-19, especially to our high risk and vulnerable populations. The majority of our students are involved with direct patient care. They cannot continue to work without the certifications that we offer. We need their expertise to care for patients and clients during these unprecedented times. Our aim is to complete training in the safest way possible for all involved. We simply cannot become a vector for transmission. To that end the following applies:

DO NOT ATTEND IF ANY OF THE THESE APPLY TO YOU OR ANY OF YOUR DIRECT CONTACTS (barring use of PPE measures for each encounter): If you/they are running a fever, feeling ill, has an unexplained persistent cough/trouble breathing/or loss of taste or smell.  If you/they are awaiting test results for COVID-19 (barring routine work assessments), or have had contact with a known case without proper PPE and/or vaccinations. We ask participants to self-report and opt out prior to class time with presence of any such exposure routes.  We can reschedule you multiple times over the next two years.

Chairs are placed at 6 foot intervals. Frequently touched surfaces are wiped daily. ALL STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WASH THEIR HANDS AFTER REGISTERING.

Masks and breathing will become optional in April 2023 (currently required and breathing not practiced). Neck fleeces, bandanas, and masks with exhalation valves or vents are not recommended against COVID. This means that you will need to have a contiguous piece of material that is form fitting over the nose and under the chin. Any type mask with visible filters/valves will be augmented with a surgical mask (we will supply).  Face shields without a mask are not allowed.

This is a CPR and/or First Aid course so the expectation is to work within the 3 feet distance of others when we conduct our practice sessions.  Gloves are always available for use for any practice skills during the session.

We run the Medify air purifier H13 True HEPA for micro contaminant removal of particles/viruses down to 0.1 microns in size. Our central fan is MERV13 when running.

By taking these prudent measures, we hope to do our part to limit the spread of this virus.

Best to you and yours during these times.
